BRIDAL HAIR AND MAKEUP ARTIST SOPHIE HAMEDANI

I have always been the biggest lover of all things wedding and bridal. It is such an honour and joyful experience to be a part of something as special as the morning of a bride's wedding. So much thought, effort and care has gone into the planning of arguably the most important day of your life. To be there, supporting and enhancing my beautiful brides, fills my heart with so much gratitude.

I have nearly 13 years of experience working with models, actors and celebrities, in fashion, TV and film. I feel that my varied and unique career gives my bridal work more of an effortless, contemporary and luxurious feel. Bridal hair and makeup trends have evolved over the years…however, these days I feel like being “the best version of yourself” is what my brides and myself are always aspiring towards. As an artist, it is my job to make you feel the most confident and stunning you have ever felt. I want you to feel polished and elegant in the most natural looking way possible. This is why I always encourage my brides to do a hair and makeup trial with me.

I have always worked with brides throughout my career. In London and around the UK as a freelancer or with reputable bridal agencies such as Portraits Bridal and My Beautiful Face team. Now based in Portugal, I relish the chance to travel to some of the most beautiful venues all over the country. Bridal hair and makeup is 100% my favourite thing to do. Nothing beats accentuating a woman's natural radiance and self-confidence.

BRIDAL MAKEUP AND HAIR TRIAL

It's important for me to discover your general sense of style. We’ll discuss your everyday hair and makeup routine, as well as the looks, tools, and products you prefer for special occasions. This helps fine-tune the overall vibe for your wedding day. Suitability and authenticity are key when deciding on your hair and makeup. I typically do a trial 1 year to 2 months before the wedding. Being based in Portugal, I'm flexible with dates, so if you can only do the trial the week before the wedding, that's doable. This ensures both of us feel relaxed and prepared on your big day.

  • How do we help makeup stay flawless all day and night? What will the temperature likely be on the day? Will it be windy, humid, scorching hot or even raining!? If your hair is normally super frizzy, this needs to be considered when choosing the right hairstyle for the appropriate wedding location. Of course we want you to look utterly dreamy in the wedding photos too. Lighting also needs to be considered. Sometimes we need a little more makeup to enhance the eyes, or powder to control shine in heat. However, there's that fine line between too little and too much. FYI - I would never encourage a bride to wear a dark smokey eye, when they would never wear that in their real life! I advise you to bring any hair accessories or jewellery you think you might be wearing on the day…and a white top too! Then we can experiment with 1-3 different looks. What are the colours in your bouquet? Do you often wear a classic, signature red lip? Or do you prefer a more clean and fresh aesthetic? Do you want something more cool and modern or classic and romantic? Skin prep is also super important. I can advise you on treatments to plan leading up to the wedding. Good skin will help boost your confidence during this nerve fraying experience!

  • I try to do as much of the work myself, however I never want to compromise the quality of my work either. I always want my main focus to be the bride. Feeling rushed is not conducive to a relaxing and calm environment. If you need additional hair and makeup for the mother of the bride, maid of honour and bridesmaids, I have a professional team of artists to work alongside me. I will work directly with them in regards to managing the timings, schedule and payment.

  • Please send me an email to sophiehamedani@gmail.com Once you have shared the Date, timings and location of the wedding, we can discuss your requirements, bridal party size, as well as my rates and conditions. To confirm the booking, I will need a non refundable deposit of 50% of the total booking fee. The remainder of the balance is to be paid before or by the day of the wedding. This can be paid in cash, MB WAY or bank transfer.es here
